Dayan's body was found on August 6, 2026, in an open area near a gas station where he was last seen alive. A staff member at the station recounted to Walla News that Dayan arrived on foot, talking and standing upright, showing no visible injuries that could explain his sudden death shortly afterward. The witness described how Dayan walked with friends toward a camera-free area behind the station and never emerged alive.

The staff member expressed frustration over the lack of answers despite ongoing investigations and suspects being released to house arrest. Questions persist about what happened in the unmonitored area and how Dayan ended up unable to leave. The possibility that animal activity after death complicated forensic analysis was raised but did not clarify the cause of death.
