Amichai Shindler Returns Home and Affixes Mezuzah After October 7 Attack

Amichai Shindler, who was critically injured in the October 7 terrorist attack, returned to his home in Nahal Oz for the first time since the incident. Shindler was severely wounded when a bomb planted by militants exploded on the reinforced security door of his safe room in his house at Kibbutz Kerem Shalom.

In a touching moment captured on video, Shindler, surrounded by family, friends, and neighbors, affixed a mezuzah to the entrance of his now renovated, clean, and bright home. Despite using a prosthetic hand, he performed the ritual with emotion and was joined by those present in singing and celebration, marking a significant moment of hope and closure after the traumatic event.
