Rabbi Kopschitz Urges Support for Needy Groom Building New Home

Rabbi Naftali Kopschitz recently issued a heartfelt appeal on behalf of a young groom preparing to start his married life without any financial means. The groom, described by Rabbi Kopschitz as a dedicated Torah scholar with exemplary character, was raised by his single mother in extreme poverty, lacking basic household necessities. Despite her efforts to raise him with strong religious values, the family home remains empty of resources.

The groom is now engaged, but his father refuses to acknowledge the union, leaving the mother as his sole support. The bride's mother is also seriously ill, adding to the couple's challenges. Rabbi Kopschitz emphasized the urgency of the situation, noting that the groom has no home, no wedding expenses covered, and no resources to establish a household.

Calling this a "great and rare mitzvah," Rabbi Kopschitz urged the public to help build the groom's home from the ground up. He promised a special blessing for contributors, stating that those who assist will merit abundant spiritual and material success, with future generations devoted to Torah and mitzvot.

In response, Kuppat Ha'Ir launched a dedicated fund to support the groom's home construction. Contributions start at 450 shekels, granting donors a share in the project and Rabbi Kopschitz's blessing. The initiative aims to provide the young couple with a stable foundation for their married life and spiritual growth.
