Talented Media School Launches Subsidized Professional Communication Course Open to Haredi Women

Talent Media, a communication school in Jerusalem, has received official recognition from the Israeli Ministry of Labor and expanded its curriculum into a full professional year-long program. Starting this academic year, the program offers a professional certificate and is included in the government’s voucher system, allowing eligible students to receive up to 75% tuition funding. This development notably opens new opportunities for Haredi women, who previously had very limited access to communication training and funding.

The program is designed to accommodate working adults, with classes held once a week in the evenings and gender-segregated sessions, men on Mondays and women on Tuesdays. The curriculum has been significantly extended to cover practical skills such as story development, investigative journalism, video editing, studio work, production, and digital media, reflecting the diverse roles in today’s media industry.

Talent Media has trained hundreds of students over the years, many of whom have integrated into media outlets and communication roles. The new course emphasizes practical experience and industry relevance to enhance graduates’ employment prospects. Admission is selective, limited to 25 men and 25 women per cycle, and requires a personal interview to assess motivation and suitability rather than prior experience.

The upcoming course will begin after the Jewish High Holidays in Jerusalem, with early registration already open. This initiative marks a significant step in making professional media education accessible to Haredi women, combining official certification, financial support, and practical training in a culturally sensitive setting.
