IDF Arrests Son of Recently Killed Terrorist Planning Attack in Jenin

In a special operation conducted by the IDF's Duvdevan Unit with intelligence guidance from the Shin Bet, Mam Hazzam was arrested in the heart of Jenin. Mam Hazzam had planned to carry out a terrorist attack inside Israel. He is the son of Fathi Hazzam, who was killed by IDF forces last Thursday after attempting to stab an Israeli soldier during an offensive operation in Jenin. Following his father's killing, Mam Hazzam expressed intentions to attack Israeli civilians and security forces. Additionally, Mam is the brother of Raad Hazzam, who carried out the 2022 shooting attack on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv, which resulted in the deaths of three Israeli civilians and injuries to six others.

Separately, in another operational activity yesterday near the village of Sanur, IDF forces, also under Shin Bet guidance, arrested another terrorist involved in planning an attack against Israeli civilians. These coordinated efforts highlight ongoing security operations in the Jenin area to prevent terrorist activities targeting Israel.
