Maccabi Haifa Confirms Confidence in Current Midfielders, Focuses on Right Winger Reinforcement

Maccabi Haifa has decided not to recruit additional players for its defensive midfield position at this time, expressing satisfaction with the current squad members. The decision follows recent performances by midfielders Yarin Levi, Eitan Azoulay, and young talent Navot Ratner, who are all expected to continue playing key roles. Ali Mohamed, who impressed after coming off the bench in the latest match against Hapoel Ramat Gan, is also considered one of the league's top midfielders when fit.

Despite Azoulay missing a penalty in the last game, he remains a leading figure in the team and has taken over the captain's armband following the departure of Kanji Choura. Ratner, a dominant player last season, is currently the fourth option in the midfield rotation and is anticipated to receive further opportunities.

The club's primary focus now is strengthening the right winger position, as current players in that role have not met expectations. The coaching staff is reviewing many candidates in hopes of finding a suitable reinforcement. Ahead of their upcoming match against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Monday, coach Barak Bachar has scheduled a double training session to emphasize physical fitness.

Meanwhile, defender Pedro, recently returned from injury, shared an emotional message on social media expressing gratitude for support during his recovery. He acknowledged the difficulty of his journey back to the field and pledged to build a significant chapter at the club, despite not yet being at peak fitness.
