Maccabi Haifa Confirms Confidence in Current Midfielders, Focuses on Right Winger Reinforcement

Maccabi Haifa has decided not to sign an additional defensive midfielder despite recent reports of several candidates. The club expressed satisfaction with the recent performances of current midfielders Yarin Levi, Eitan Azoulai, Ali Mohamed, and young talent Navot Ratner. Levi impressed in the last match against Hapoel Ramat Gan, while Mohamed, when fit, is regarded as one of the league's top midfielders. Although Azoulai missed a penalty in the same game and was less prominent, he remains a key player and was recently appointed captain following Kanji Hura's departure. Ratner, who was a dominant starter last season, is currently the fourth option in the midfield rotation and is expected to receive playing opportunities.

The club's main recruitment focus is now on strengthening the right winger position, as current wingers have not met expectations. Numerous players have been proposed to the coaching staff, who aim to find a precise fit. Maccabi Haifa resumed preparations on Monday for their upcoming match against Maccabi Tel Aviv, with coach Barak Bachar scheduling a double training session to emphasize physical fitness.

Meanwhile, defender Pedro, recently returned from injury, shared an emotional message on social media. He thanked God and supporters for their backing during his difficult recovery, stating that few could endure what he experienced to return to the field.
