Hamas Security Warns Members to Discard Phones Amid Ongoing Targeted Killings in Gaza

Hamas' internal security apparatus issued a warning to its operatives against using mobile phones, urging them to dispose of their devices immediately to avoid detection amid ongoing Israeli targeted killings in the Gaza Strip. The directive, published on the Al-Haris channel linked to Hamas' security wing, emphasized that mobile phones enable the enemy to locate users, eavesdrop on conversations, and capture images of their surroundings. An accompanying illustration showed a broken phone being thrown into a trash bin. Hamas called on its members to increase vigilance, avoid social media use, and adopt safety measures to prevent becoming targets of Israeli attacks.

In parallel, Hamas announced over the weekend that several Gaza residents had been sentenced to death for alleged collaboration with Israel, warning that "betrayal begins with one step and ends in shame." Earlier reports from Palestinian media indicated Israeli strikes in central Gaza camps, resulting in at least two deaths and eight injuries. Munir Al-Barak, director-general of Hamas' Ministry of Health in Gaza, accused Israel of escalating attacks and violating the ceasefire agreement.
