IDF Kills Hamas Weapons Production Commander Near Humanitarian Aid Point in Gaza
Israeli forces killed Ismail Abu Foul, a Hamas commander responsible for weapons manufacturing, in the al-Maghazi area of central Gaza on Sunday. Abu Foul led a Hamas production site that made explosives and anti-tank missiles aimed at Israeli soldiers and civilians. The operation also targeted and destroyed the weapons manufacturing facility, which was located adjacent to a distribution point for international humanitarian aid.
The Israeli military and security agencies emphasized that Hamas is systematically violating the ceasefire by using civilian infrastructure and humanitarian aid centers to rebuild its military capabilities. These actions are seen as attempts to restore and enhance Hamas’s ability to carry out terror attacks against Israeli forces operating near the so-called "yellow line" border area.
The IDF and Shin Bet stated that the killing and destruction of the site were part of a focused policy to prevent Hamas from rearming and rebuilding its terror infrastructure. They warned that they will continue to act decisively against any efforts by Hamas to violate the ceasefire and strengthen its military presence in Gaza.
