Israeli Gazelle Calf Rescued Near Ramallah; Suspect Detained for Illegal Wildlife Trade
Israeli security forces and Nature and Parks Authority inspectors conducted an operation in the village of A-Ram near Ramallah, where they found a young Israeli gazelle calf held illegally. The calf was handed over to the Nature and Parks Authority inspectors and then transferred to the Ramat Gan Safari wildlife hospital for further care. A 48-year-old resident of the nearby village of Aqrab was detained for questioning on suspicion of illegal trade, possession, and hunting of a protected natural asset.
