Kretshnif Jerusalem Rebbe Leads Joyous Celebration for Shabbat Tractate Completion

Last week, the Kretshnif Hasidic community in Jerusalem held a grand event to mark the completion of the Shabbat tractate and the beginning of the Eruvin tractate study cycle. The celebration took place in Modi'in Illit under the leadership of the community's rabbis and judges, headed by the Kretshnif Rebbe of Jerusalem. The event featured a dignified festive meal honoring the Torah.

The main address was delivered by Rabbi Chaim Yosef Biderman, head of the court in Lelov Bnei Brak, who inspired the attendees with a powerful speech emphasizing the importance of perseverance and dedication to Torah study. At the conclusion of the tractate, Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Cohen was honored. Following the recitation of the Hadran, musicians played enthusiastically as the crowd, led by the Rebbe, engaged in spirited dancing to celebrate the Torah.

The Rebbe then began teaching the first page of the Eruvin tractate, explaining it with insights from the Tosafot and Maharshal commentaries. He also spoke extensively about the great merit of communal Torah study. Later, Rabbi Yoel Hershkovitz, the community's official musician, recited a special poetic tribute to the Torah. The Rebbe led the Grace After Meals and blessed the crowd, who then passed by to receive his personal blessing and a toast to life.
