Kretshnif-Sighet Rebbes Unite to Mark First Yahrzeit of Their Father
On the first anniversary of the passing of the Kretshnif-Sighet Rebbe, a large gathering of Hasidim convened on Thursday evening for a central memorial meal in his honor. The event took place in the hall of the Pinsk-Karlin Hasidic dynasty, where the Rebbe's sons, the current Kretshnif-Sighet Rebbes from Israel, the United States, and Kafr Ata, jointly led the ceremony. During the meal, the brothers shared words commemorating their father's pure memory, his deeds, and his legacy, in preparation for the upcoming Shabbat, which marks the first yahrzeit.
Following the meal, thousands of followers, led by the Rebbe from Israel, proceeded to the holy gravesite at the Kretshnif Rebbes' ohel on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem to offer prayers for communal and personal salvation. The Rebbe from the United States is scheduled to visit the gravesite on Saturday night, while the Rebbe from Kafr Ata will visit on Sunday with several senior students, praying for significant blessings. Some of the brothers continued after the meal to visit their brother, the Rebbe of Kafr Ata, where they engaged in a sacred discourse late into the night.
