Thousands Join Former Hostages for Special Thanksgiving Prayer at Western Wall

On Saturday night, thousands gathered at the Western Wall plaza in Jerusalem for the central Selichot prayer event. The ceremony featured a special thanksgiving prayer led by Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch, Chief Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, alongside former hostages Noa Argamani, Itay Regev, Omer Shem Tov, Bar Kuperstein, Eli Cohen, and Ziv Cohen. Mordechai (Soli) Eliav, CEO of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, also participated. The prayers expressed gratitude for the safe return of the former hostages and included petitions for the wellbeing of IDF soldiers and security forces, national unity, and peace and security for Israel. The next major Selichot event at the Western Wall is scheduled for Thursday at 12:15 a.m., expecting thousands of worshippers.
