Maccabi Tel Aviv Targets English Winger Malik Wilks to Boost Attack

Maccabi Tel Aviv is seeking to strengthen its offensive lineup by pursuing English winger Malik Wilks, 27, who recently terminated his contract with Turkish club Pendikspor. According to reports from Turkey, Wilks is also being monitored by Blackburn Rovers and several other Turkish teams. Primarily a right winger who can also play on the left wing and as a forward, Wilks scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 39 appearances last season. He made two appearances this season before leaving Pendikspor. His market value is estimated at around one million euros. Wilks has extensive experience in English football, with 69 Championship appearances and 147 in League One, having played for clubs including Hull City, Doncaster, Sheffield Wednesday, and Rotherham.

If signed, Wilks would be Maccabi Tel Aviv's third summer acquisition. The club recently brought back Dan Glazer after three seasons abroad and signed Slovenian striker Aster Sokler from Radnički Kragujevac, who scored 15 goals in 29 appearances last season. Maccabi is particularly focused on reinforcing the winger position following the end of Amir Saheti's loan spell, who has returned to Hamburg.
