Rosh Yeshiva Marries Granddaughter, Then Leaves for U.S. Fundraising and Support Tour
Rabbi Tzvi Mazuz officiated under the chuppah, while Rabbi Eliyahu Mazuz, the newly elected rabbi of Katzrin, was honored with reading the ketubah. To mark the wedding, the groom published a booklet called “Seder HaMa’arkha,” containing hundreds of sections and principles in halacha and aggadah, with the yeshiva head listed as the main approver.
Near the end of the celebration, students performed a special “shor’s” dance and sang “Tzeitchem LeShalom” for Rabbi Tzvi Mazuz and his son, Rabbi Meirchai Chai Mazuz, one of the leading teachers and head of the rabbinic court. The send-off came as they left immediately for Ben Gurion Airport to begin a strengthening and support mission in the United States.
The trip is a continuation of a mission interrupted about a month ago after the sudden death of Rabbi Rahamim Mazuz. Following the completion of the mourning period and the wedding, Rabbi Tzvi Mazuz resumed the U.S. trip on behalf of the yeshiva. The visit is expected to last about two weeks.
