Head of Kisei Rahamim Yeshiva Flies From US to Officiate Granddaughter's Wedding in Ashdod

Over the weekend, the granddaughter of Rabbi Tzemach Mazuz, head of the Kisei Rahamim Yeshiva, celebrated her wedding in Ashdod. The bride is the daughter of Rabbi Netanel Ankari, a teacher at the Ish Matzliach Talmud Torah in Bnei Brak. The groom, Eliav Yaish, is a distinguished student from the island of Djerba and a notable alumnus of the Kisei Rahamim Yeshiva.

Rabbi Mazuz had been on a strengthening mission to Jewish communities in the United States and arrived in Israel just hours before the event. Upon landing at Ben Gurion Airport, he traveled directly to the wedding hall to officiate the chuppah and kiddushin ceremony. The ketubah was read by Rabbi Eliyahu Kablon, a close associate of the late Rabbi M. Mazuz and director of the Ish Matzliach Talmud Torah.

In his remarks at the chuppah, Rabbi Mazuz reflected on the divine orchestration of matches, noting that although the groom resides in Djerba, God brought him to study Torah in Israel at their yeshiva, leading to this union with his granddaughter. He praised the groom as one of the yeshiva's outstanding students and expressed gratitude that all family grooms have been exemplary and distinguished, quoting the biblical blessing "Ben Porat Yosef, Ben Porat Alay Ein."
