Grand Rabbi of Monsey Visits Jerusalem Before Returning to US

The Grand Rabbi of Vizhnitz Monsey concluded a week-long visit to Israel by making a special appearance at the Great Beit Midrash of the Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok Hasidic dynasty in Jerusalem's Mea Shearim neighborhood. The visit occurred just moments before his departure for the airport to return to his residence in the United States.

During his visit, the Grand Rabbi of Monsey participated in a circumcision ceremony for the great-grandson of the Grand Rabbi of Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok. The child is the grandson of Rabbi Avrohom Kaliver of Beitar and the Grand Rabbi of Biala of Bnei Brak. The guest of honor, the Grand Rabbi of Monsey, was honored with reciting the blessings and naming the child.

Following the circumcision, the rabbis gathered for a celebratory "l'chaim" toast, which also marked the engagement of the granddaughter of the Grand Rabbi of Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok. She is the daughter of Rabbi Aharon Kahn, head of the Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok yeshiva, and the granddaughter of Rabbi Yehuda Kahn. The groom, Chaim Meir Meisels, is the son of Rabbi Yechezkel Meisels and the grandson of the Av Beis Din of Ohel Monsey, and the son-in-law of Gaavad Volove. The groom is a distinguished student of the Grand Rabbi of Monsey's yeshiva.

During the event, Hasidim sang songs of inspiration for the upcoming High Holy Days, alongside joyous melodies. The rabbis parted ways with numerous blessings, after which the Grand Rabbi of Monsey proceeded to the airport for his flight back to the U.S.
