Arab Man Shot Dead in Northern Israel, Marking 163rd Violence-Related Death in 2026
Badran Badrana, a 31-year-old Arab man, was shot and killed this morning in the northern Israeli town of Arraba. This incident marks the 163rd death linked to crime and violence among Arabs in Israel since the beginning of 2026, according to the Abraham Initiatives organization.
The Abraham Initiatives reported that out of these 163 victims, 159 were civilians and 4 were residents, with 141 shot to death, 7 stabbed, and 6 dying in fires. Among the victims, 12 were women and girls, and 5 were shot by police officers. Compared to the same period last year, when there were 161 victims, this represents a 1.24% increase in violence-related deaths.
The ongoing violence within the Arab community in Israel continues to be a significant concern, with the Abraham Initiatives tracking these fatalities as part of broader efforts to address crime and violence in the sector.
