Detroit Sisters Charged After Restaurant Dispute Turns Violent Over Wrong Order
Two sisters from Detroit, Briana Long, 29, and Kiriana Long, 26, have been charged after a violent attack on a 23-year-old restaurant worker following a mistaken order at a chicken restaurant. Prosecutors say the argument escalated after the sisters went behind the counter and began throwing objects at the employee.
According to the prosecution, the women chased the worker through the restaurant, hit her with pots and pans, tried to pour hot oil on her, and threatened to kill her. During the attack, Kiriana Long allegedly stabbed the worker in the stomach with a knife.
The employee managed to escape, hide in a stranger’s car, and call for help. She was taken to hospital and underwent surgery. The sisters fled the scene but were later arrested by police.
They are charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, and assault with a dangerous weapon. Their lawyers said the worker started the confrontation after making a disrespectful remark and throwing objects at them. Both sisters have pleaded not guilty.
