Armenian National Team Winger Edgar Savikian Linked to Hapoel Petah Tikva

Hapoel Petah Tikva is targeting Armenian international winger Edgar Savikian as a potential signing ahead of their Israeli Premier League season opener against Ironi Tiberias on Saturday. The 25-year-old currently plays for Hungarian club Ferencváros, where he is under contract until 2028. Savikian, valued at around one million euros by Transfermarkt, was acquired by Ferencváros in January 2024 for 1.2 million euros and has spent the last two seasons on loan in Russia with Lokomotiv Moscow and Akron Tolyatti.

Savikian has made 55 appearances in the Russian Premier League, scoring four goals and providing three assists. At Ferencváros, he has played 21 matches but has seen limited playing time this season. Developed in Levante's youth system, he made one La Liga appearance before representing Armenia internationally, earning 21 caps and scoring twice.

Hapoel Petah Tikva, coached by Omer Peretz, continues to seek reinforcements in the transfer market as they prepare for the new season. Savikian's experience in multiple European leagues and international exposure make him a notable candidate to strengthen the squad.
