Diego Aroyo May Join Hapoel Petah Tikva Amid Transfer Developments

Hapoel Petah Tikva continues preparations for the upcoming league season following their Toto Cup conclusion last Saturday. The club decided not to extend the contract of scout Clive Hart, who was appointed only a few months ago, partly due to the failure to secure quality foreign players so far.

Progress has been made regarding defender Diego Aroyo. Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk is close to signing a defender from Italy, which would free Aroyo to join Hapoel Petah Tikva. Meanwhile, Edmond Asante from M.S. Ashdod is expected to transfer to Hapoel Petah Tikva, potentially within the week. The club is also deliberating on decisions involving players Roy Zaryan and Moshe Meir.

Additionally, Chepioka Songa is set to receive his visa within 48 hours and will be able to travel to Portugal, with Hapoel Petah Tikva receiving approximately 600,000 euros from the deal. The club is also considering releasing goalkeeper Roy Sasson to rely on Amit Mashiach as the backup goalkeeper. Coach Omer Peretz is expected to decide soon, acknowledging that Sasson has several offers from National League teams. The club feels Mashiach has shown progress this summer and is prepared to make this change.
