Diego Aroyo May Join Hapoel Petah Tikva Amid Transfer Developments

Hapoel Petah Tikva continues its preparations ahead of the league opener after finishing the Toto Cup last Saturday. The club decided not to renew the contract of scout Clive Hart, who was appointed only a few months ago, partly due to the club's failure to secure quality foreign players so far.

There has been progress regarding defender Diego Aroyo. Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk is close to signing a defender from Italy, which would allow Aroyo to be released to Hapoel Petah Tikva, where he is awaited. Meanwhile, Edmond Asante from M.S. Ashdod is expected to join Hapoel Petah Tikva possibly this week, with decisions pending on whether to release players Roy Zaryan or Moshe Meir.

Additionally, Tchipioka Songa will receive his visa within 48 hours and is set to fly to Portugal, with Hapoel Petah Tikva expected to receive around 600,000 euros from the transfer. The club is also debating whether to release goalkeeper Roy Sasson and rely on Amit Mashiach as the backup keeper. The club feels Mashiach has improved over the summer and is ready to make the move pending coach Omer Peretz's decision, especially as Sasson reportedly has several offers from National League teams.
