69-Year-Old Man Arrested in Tel Aviv for Suspected Drug Trafficking with Over a Kilogram of Drugs

A 69-year-old resident of Petah Tikva, known to police for property offenses, was arrested in northern Tel Aviv on suspicion of drug trafficking. Police found approximately 90 bags containing over one kilogram of suspected drugs in his vehicle, along with 4,050 shekels in cash. The suspect was spotted in the northern part of Tel Aviv after officers observed him exchanging a bag with another individual. Both men were detained, and a search of the vehicle uncovered various forms of suspected cannabis and cookies believed to contain drugs. The arrest took place overnight on August 20, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug distribution in the city.
