Four Teen Girls Assault Another in Eilat Park; Two Indicted and Detained
Police in Eilat have concluded their investigation into a severe assault incident involving four teenage girls who attacked another minor earlier this month. The victim was assaulted with punches and slaps after an argument over alleged damage to a mobile phone. The attack took place in a public park and then moved to a nearby alley to avoid surveillance cameras. During the assault, the victim was pushed into bushes, struck repeatedly, and had her hair pulled. One of the assailants confiscated the victim’s phone to prevent her escape. Witnesses tried to intervene, and after a second bystander called the police, one attacker threatened the victim not to report the incident, saying, "If we are arrested by the police, you will die today." The attackers then spat at the victim and fled the scene.
The victim sustained bodily injuries from the attack. Two of the suspects were quickly located and interrogated within hours, while the other two initially fled but were arrested the following day in another city. It was also revealed that one of the suspects was under house arrest for a separate case and violated her restrictions by participating in the assault. Following the investigation, the Eilat police prosecution unit filed indictments against two of the suspects and requested their detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
