Midfielder Ilai Hajaj Signs One-Year Deal with Bnei Sakhnin from Beitar Jerusalem
Bnei Sakhnin has announced the signing of midfielder Ilai Hajaj from Beitar Jerusalem on a one-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 Israeli Premier League season. The club, preparing for its opening match against Maccabi Netanya, aims to strengthen its squad under coach Yossi Abuksis. Hajaj, who grew up in Maccabi Haifa's youth system and previously played for Hapoel Afula, joined Beitar Jerusalem last summer but made only one appearance before transferring to M.S. Ashdod in January. At Ashdod, he played around 12 matches and scored against his former club Beitar Jerusalem. Bnei Sakhnin welcomed Hajaj warmly, expressing hopes for a successful season filled with achievements and memorable moments.
