Midfielder Ilai Hajaj Signs One-Year Deal with Bnei Sakhnin from Beitar Jerusalem
Bnei Sakhnin has announced the signing of midfielder Ilai Hajaj from Beitar Jerusalem on a one-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 Israeli Premier League season. The club, which recently underwent significant changes, is preparing for its opening match against Maccabi Netanya. Hajaj, who grew up in Maccabi Haifa's youth system and also played for Hapoel Afula, joined Beitar Jerusalem last summer but made only one appearance before transferring to M.S. Ashdod in January. At Ashdod, he played about 12 matches and scored against his former team, Beitar Jerusalem. Bnei Sakhnin's management expressed their excitement about Hajaj joining the squad coached by Yossi Abuksis, wishing him and the club a successful season filled with achievements and memorable moments.
