Israeli Police Uncover Drug Apartment in Ashkelon Containing Doctor, Crystal Meth, and Marijuana

During an operational raid by Ashkelon police on February 2, 2026, authorities uncovered a drug apartment containing substances valued at hundreds of thousands of shekels. This operation follows a recent significant seizure by the Lahish Regional Crime Unit (YAMAR Lachish), which confiscated about one kilogram of suspected cocaine in Ashkelon, also valued at hundreds of thousands of shekels. That earlier bust resulted from a focused initiative against drug trade and possession in the city, leading to the arrest of two suspects who remain under investigation.
