Maccabi Haifa Midfielder Peter Agaba Set to Join Hungarian Club on Loan
Peter Agaba, the 23-year-old Nigerian midfielder of Maccabi Haifa, is close to leaving the Israeli club on a loan deal to a Hungarian league team within the next 48 hours. Agaba, who joined Maccabi Haifa last summer from Olimpija Ljubljana, played 24 matches and scored one goal in the Israeli Premier League last season but failed to impress sufficiently to secure a permanent spot. The loan move will be free of charge and is intended to free up a foreign player slot in Maccabi Haifa's squad. This will allow the club to register Andrea Novakovic for the upcoming match against Hapoel Ramat Gan in the first round of the State Cup. Recently, Agaba has been in Slovenia and Austria negotiating with clubs ahead of this transfer.
