Seven-Year-Old Boy Fatally Stabbed in Beit Shemesh Home, Suspect Arrested
Hallel Mordechai Dadon, a seven-year-old boy, was fatally stabbed on August 17 in Beit Shemesh, while his four-year-old cousin was seriously injured in the same attack. The incident occurred at the home of their uncle, where the children were visiting. The suspect, a neighbor of the uncle named Inbar Toizer, was arrested by police and is described as mentally unstable. Authorities say he entered the house and stabbed the two boys.
Hallel’s mother recounted the tragic moments, explaining that her son had gone to visit her brother with their older son and was playing on inflatables. The uncle discovered the children covered in blood and tried to call for an ambulance, but the ambulance had trouble locating the apartment. Hallel went outside to guide the ambulance, but despite the paramedics’ efforts, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The mother initially suspected the attack was nationalistically motivated but later learned the suspect was a neighbor with no known psychiatric history.
The funeral for Hallel is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the municipal cemetery in Beit Shemesh. The city’s mayor, Shmuel Greenberg, stated that welfare and psychological services are providing support to those affected by the tragedy. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing, while the suspect remains silent during questioning.
