Seven-Year-Old Hallel Mordechai Dadon Fatally Stabbed in Beit Shemesh

Hallel Mordechai Dadon, a seven-year-old boy, was fatally stabbed in Beit Shemesh on Monday. He and his four-year-old cousin were found injured in a home on Emek HaZaytim Street. Both were rushed to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, where Hallel was pronounced dead upon arrival, while his cousin was admitted in moderate condition and underwent surgery.

The police arrested a young neighbor suspected of the attack, but the motive remains under investigation. Jerusalem District Commander, Chief Superintendent Avshalom Peled, visited the scene and coordinated with police commanders and district officials. The crime scene was secured, and forensic teams began collecting evidence as the investigation was transferred to the Jerusalem District Central Unit.

The stabbing occurred in the afternoon after emergency services received reports of two children injured in the attack. Initial police inquiries indicate the suspect lives nearby, but the circumstances leading to the stabbing are still unclear. The hospital confirmed that staff are supporting the families during this difficult time.
