Seven-Year-Old Boy Fatally Stabbed in Beit Shemesh Home, Relative Seriously Injured
Seven-year-old Hillel Mordechai Dadon was fatally stabbed on August 17 in Beit Shemesh, while his four-year-old cousin was seriously wounded in the same attack. The incident occurred at the home of their uncle, where the children were visiting. The suspect, a neighbor of the family described as mentally unstable, was arrested by police. According to the mother of Hillel, the ambulance had difficulty locating the house, prompting her son to go outside to guide the paramedics. Despite their efforts, Hillel was pronounced dead at the hospital. The mother initially suspected the attack was nationalistically motivated but later learned the assailant was a neighbor. The police investigation is ongoing, and the suspect remains silent during questioning. The funeral for Hillel is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the municipal cemetery in Beit Shemesh. Beit Shemesh Mayor Shmuel Greenberg stated that municipal welfare and psychological services are providing support to those affected by the tragedy, calling it a very difficult time for the city.
