Social media figure shot at close range during live broadcast in Jaffa

A 22-year-old woman known as a prominent social media personality was shot at close range overnight Monday on David Razi'el Street in Jaffa, in south Tel Aviv. The shooting happened while she was in the middle of a live stream before hundreds of followers, who watched the attack unfold in real time.

Emergency medics reached the scene and gave her life-saving treatment on site before rushing her to the trauma unit. She was evacuated in serious condition with gunshot wounds to her body.

Police said the background appears to be criminal. Large forces, including investigators from the Jaffa police station, forensic teams and Yasam officers, arrived at the scene, sealed off the street to traffic and began collecting evidence, taking statements and reviewing security camera footage from the area.
