Forward Marquis McDuffie Joins Maccabi Ashdod as Fifth Foreign Player
Maccabi Ashdod officially announced the signing of 29-year-old forward Marquis McDuffie, who stands 2.03 meters tall, on August 17, 2026. McDuffie will be the fifth foreign player on the newly promoted team's roster, joining Augustin Robit, Isaiah Hill, Robert Turner, and Kodos Wahab.
McDuffie, who developed at Wichita State, has played professionally in Italy, France, and Turkey. Last season, he averaged 6.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game with Nancy. Previously, he was named to the Italian league's second team after averaging 16.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
Nati Cohen, Maccabi Ashdod's professional manager, praised McDuffie's extensive experience in top European leagues, highlighting his energy, athleticism, personal skills, and rebounding ability. Cohen said McDuffie completes the team puzzle they aimed for, expressing satisfaction with the roster built within their budget without taking unnecessary risks.
