Brazilian Defender Marcio Silva Signs with Hapoel Ramat Gan

Hapoel Ramat Gan has signed 25-year-old Brazilian defender Marcio Silva, marking a key addition to the newly promoted team's roster. Silva, who can play in both central defense positions, developed in the youth systems of Palmeiras and Coritiba, advancing to senior squads and spending time on loan at Botafogo Sao Paulo. In March, he transferred to Ponte Preta in Brazil's second division, where he made 26 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

This move will be Silva's first professional experience outside Brazil. He brings experience from Brazil's top two leagues, notable physical presence, and a strong left foot. Silva will join Hapoel Ramat Gan immediately and is expected to participate in training as the club's seventh foreign player. The signing is part of the club's ongoing efforts to complete its squad ahead of the upcoming season.
