Hapoel Jerusalem Demands Transfer Compensation for Kadyn Carrington from Hapoel Tel Aviv

Following Kadyn Carrington's transfer from Hapoel Jerusalem to Hapoel Tel Aviv, the Jerusalem-based basketball club is demanding transfer or development fees in accordance with the Israeli Basketball Association's league regulations. Carrington played four consecutive seasons with Hapoel Jerusalem, and the rules entitle a club to compensation if a player has been with them for at least three continuous seasons in the Premier League. Hapoel Jerusalem sent a formal letter to Hapoel Tel Aviv requesting the signed transfer agreement to assess the amount owed. In response, Hapoel Tel Aviv owner Ofer Yanai told Sport 5 that Jerusalem could offset any compensation against debts owed to him related to an incident during the Premier League Cup quarterfinals.
