Yotam Zimri Says Israel Must Respond to Fire on Its Territory
Channel 14 panelist Yotam Zimri said on Sunday evening on the program "The Patriots" that Israel must respond whenever shots are fired at its territory. He was discussing the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran.
Zimri argued that any deal reached between Washington and Tehran would not bind Israel if it is bad for Israeli interests. He said that if Iran fires at Israel, the IDF should strike Iran in response, adding that Israel must show it responds to Iranian fire.
He also said the Iranians are welcome to sign an agreement with U.S. President Donald Trump, but Israel is not obligated to that deal. In his words, even with sympathetic presidents, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s job is to do what is necessary to protect Israel.
Zimri praised Netanyahu’s current handling of the issue, saying, "Right now he is doing it. Well done."
