Hapoel Petah Tikva signs Karim Kimvidi after his season at Ashdod

Hapoel Petah Tikva announced on Sunday evening, June 14, 2026, that it has signed Karim Kimvidi, the Congolese attacking midfielder who played last season for M.S. Ashdod. The club, coached by Omer Peretz, said the deal is part of its preparations for the 2026/27 Israeli Premier League season.

Kimvidi, 24, spent the previous campaign on loan at Ashdod. He has now signed for Hapoel Petah Tikva for the 2026/27 season, with an option for two additional years. The transfer was completed after Hapoel Petah Tikva bought him from Orlando Pirates in South Africa.

In the league last season, Kimvidi scored four goals and added two assists for Ashdod. After joining his new club, he said, "I am excited to join the club." He added that he had heard it was "a great club with a glorious history and wonderful fans," and said he was looking forward to meeting everyone. Kimvidi also thanked the coaching staff for their trust and promised to do everything he could to repay it on the pitch.
