Hapoel Petah Tikva signs Karim Kimbidi after his season in Ashdod
Hapoel Petah Tikva announced on Sunday that it has signed attacking midfielder Karim Kimbidi, who spent the past season with M.S. Ashdod. The club is continuing its preparations for the 2026/27 Israeli Premier League season.
Kimbidi, 24, was on loan at Ashdod last season. He has now signed with Hapoel Petah Tikva for the 2026/27 campaign, with an option for two additional years. The Congolese midfielder was purchased from Orlando Pirates in South Africa.
In the league season with Ashdod, Kimbidi scored four goals and added two assists. The transfer was announced by the team coached by Omer Peretz.
Kimbidi said he was "excited to join the club" and described it as a club with "a great history" and "a wonderful fan base." He added that he was looking forward to meeting everyone and thanked the coaching staff for their trust, saying he will do everything he can to repay it on the pitch.
