Hezbollah Drone Attack Injures Three Israeli Special Forces in Southern Lebanon

Three Israeli special forces soldiers were injured overnight by an explosive drone launched by Hezbollah in the Ali Taher ridge area of southern Lebanon. Two soldiers sustained serious injuries and one was moderately wounded. All three were evacuated to Rambam Hospital. The drone attack occurred around 2:30 a.m. during an Israeli military operation near the security zone adjacent to Israeli communities.

In an unusual statement released over Shabbat, the Prime Minister's Office condemned Hezbollah for violating the ceasefire by attacking Israeli troops. The statement confirmed that Hezbollah's attack caused serious injuries to three soldiers and that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded by striking Hezbollah's terror headquarters, which had ordered the attack.

Shortly after, the IDF announced it had killed Ali Hassan, a battalion commander in Hezbollah's "Radwan Force," along with other militants involved in planning terrorist activities against Israeli forces. Hassan was reportedly at a Hezbollah military headquarters in the Al-Ansar area during the strike, where his family was also present. The IDF emphasized that the family members were not targeted and accused Hassan of using them as human shields by hiding with them inside the military facility.
