Shir Levy Reflects on Estranged Relationship with Late Father Ishay Levy

The two had been estranged for six years before Ishay's death, and Shir described a deep sense of regret over the lost time and missed opportunities to connect. He recounted his final moments with his father in the hospital, where Ishay was unconscious, and how difficult it was to say goodbye without being able to communicate.

Despite the years of separation, Shir expressed forgiveness toward his father and a desire to make amends with his own children, emphasizing the emotional presence he strives to provide that he lacked growing up. He shared that he was raised by his grandparents and never experienced a close father-son bond, which affected his self-esteem and sense of security. Shir also revealed that he has avoided drugs and alcohol, choosing instead to pursue emotional healing through therapy.

Regarding the family dynamics after Ishay's death, Shir mentioned that he remains estranged from his father's widow, Iris, with whom Ishay had four children. They held separate mourning rituals and have not reconciled, but Shir said he intends to offer condolences soon due to a recent family loss. He described himself as a person who seeks peace and holds no grudges.
