Shir Levy Reflects on Estranged Relationship with Late Father Ishay Levy

Shir Levy opened up in a candid interview about his complicated and distant relationship with his late father, singer Ishay Levy, who passed away recently. Despite being estranged for six years, Shir was by his father's side in the hospital during his final days, describing the emotional difficulty of seeing him unconscious and the regret over lost time. He expressed a deep sense of missed opportunities for family connection and wished he could turn back time to reconcile.

Shir shared that although they had been distant, he holds no anger toward his father and has forgiven him, acknowledging the hardships Ishay faced and the fact that he did not grow up with him. He also spoke about his own efforts to be a present and emotionally supportive father to his two children, contrasting his upbringing with his parents. Shir emphasized his commitment to sobriety and personal growth, having sought therapy to overcome childhood trauma and low self-esteem.

Regarding his relationship with Ishay's widow, Iris, with whom Ishay had four children, Shir revealed they remain estranged and conducted the shiva mourning period separately. He plans to visit her soon to offer condolences following the death of her mother, emphasizing his desire for peace and no lingering resentment.
