Around 40,000 Visitors Explore Israel's Nature Reserves and National Parks Over Weekend

Approximately 40,000 visitors toured nature reserves and national parks across Israel during the recent weekend. The Israel Nature and Parks Authority reported that the most popular sites included Tel Grove, Achziv Beach, Gan HaShlosha (Sachne), Caesarea, Dor Habonim Beach Reserve, and the Coral Reef Reserve in Eilat.

Around 8,500 visitors stayed overnight in the Authority's camping sites, with top locations being Yehudiya Reserve, Achziv Beach, Tel Grove, Harod Spring, Tel Ashkelon, Mamshit, and Khan Be'erot in the Ramon Crater.

Additionally, over the past week, about 60,000 people visited southern Israel to observe the Perseid meteor shower, with half of them gathering in the Ramon Crater area for the event.
