IDF Destroys Hezbollah Booby-Trapped Building in South Lebanon, Kills Hamas Commander in Khan Yunis Airstrike

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continue operations to neutralize threats along Israel's northern and southern fronts. In southern Lebanon, during an operation in the Marah Aqaba area, IDF's Brigade 55 located and destroyed a Hezbollah booby-trapped building containing weapons, including RPG rockets. The forces also seized additional arms. The IDF's 91st Division maintains ongoing security clearance activities in southern Lebanon, coordinating with the ceasefire agreement to remove threats.

Simultaneously, earlier today, the IDF Air Force struck a Hamas platoon commander in the Khan Yunis area of the Gaza Strip. According to the IDF, the militant was planning terror attacks against Israeli forces operating in Gaza. The strike aimed to eliminate the immediate threat posed by the commander. Southern Command troops remain deployed in the area under the ceasefire terms and will continue efforts to neutralize any imminent dangers.

The IDF emphasized its commitment to maintaining security and removing threats in both the northern and southern sectors in coordination with existing agreements.
