Maccabi Tel Aviv Struggles with Foreign Player Utilization Ahead of Season Start

After a strong start with three wins, Maccabi Tel Aviv suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to CSKA Sofia in the third qualifying round of the Europa League on August 10, 2026. The loss exposed significant weaknesses, particularly in the team's foreign player usage and preparation for the season.
