Former Maccabi Tel Aviv Player Parfait Guiagon Pushes to Leave Charleroi Amid Saudi Offer

Parfait Guiagon, a former Maccabi Tel Aviv player currently at Belgian club Charleroi, is pressing to leave the team after reportedly receiving an offer from a Saudi club. Guiagon has skipped the last two training sessions in protest. Despite signing a two-year contract extension with Charleroi until June 2028, the player is dissatisfied, according to Belgian media reports, which state that Charleroi rejected the Saudi offer.

Guiagon was a key player for Charleroi last season, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists. This season, he has already earned and converted a penalty against Leuven. Maccabi Tel Aviv retains a 20% sell-on clause for Guiagon, meaning they stand to gain financially from any transfer. Based on his current Transfermarkt valuation of 5 million euros, Maccabi could receive approximately 730,000 euros including solidarity payments. If sold for 10 million euros, the club’s share would rise to about 1.78 million euros.
