MK Eliyahu Revivo Announces He Will Not Run in Upcoming Likud Primaries

MK Eliyahu Revivo has declared that he will not participate in the upcoming Likud primaries, signaling the end of his current term in the Knesset. In a message to party members, Revivo emphasized that he is not leaving Likud and intends to continue his public service in a different capacity. "Politics has never been an end in itself for me but a tool for a mission," he wrote, adding that while he is concluding a significant chapter in the Knesset, Likud remains his home and his public mission continues into a new phase.

Revivo's decision follows months of internal disputes within Likud regarding the party's direction and public image. He notably clashed with MK Tali Gottlieb over the party's character and political style. Recently, Revivo advocated for Likud to maintain a nationalistic stance, broaden its support base, and avoid internal conflicts and aggressive rhetoric that could alienate voters.

Despite stepping back from the Knesset race, Revivo stressed that he is not quitting the party. He described the end of his Knesset term as the conclusion of one phase of his public work, not the end of his involvement with Likud. His announcement adds to ongoing debates within the party about its identity and electoral strategy ahead of upcoming elections. At this time, Revivo has not disclosed his next role or the framework in which he will continue his public activities.
