US Ambassador Hakobi Condemns Israeli Terrorists in Kusra, Calls for IDF and Police Intervention

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Hakobi sharply condemned the recent events in the West Bank village of Kusra, revealing that the US Embassy was deeply involved and requested Israeli security forces to intervene. In a post on X, Hakobi stated that the Israeli Defense Forces and police arrived at the embassy's request to remove "Israeli terrorists" involved in the incident. He described their actions as criminal, horrifying, and intended to intimidate and harass a family, calling the behavior disgusting and unjustifiable.

Hakobi's strong remarks come amid growing concern within the US administration over the escalating tensions in Kusra. In response to the unrest, the IDF began evacuating settlers from Kusra and reinforced its presence in the area. Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir ordered additional infantry battalion deployment to strengthen operational control and prevent further serious incidents. Additional forces remain on standby to respond as the situation develops.

These developments highlight the increasing involvement of the US Embassy in Israeli security matters related to settler violence and the IDF's efforts to restore order in volatile West Bank areas.
