Wild Jackal Threatens Residents in Ramat Gan and Bnei Brak, Capture Operation Underway

A capture operation is currently underway on Herut Street, at the border between Ramat Gan and Bnei Brak, following reports of a female jackal that gave birth to pups in the built-up area and is threatening passersby. Local residents have recently reported aggressive behavior from the animal, including baring teeth and growling at pedestrians during the evenings. In one incident, the jackal even attempted to attack a domestic dog being walked in the area.

In response to residents' complaints, the municipal veterinarian has set traps aiming to capture the mother and her pups and relocate them to an open area far from residential neighborhoods. Authorities note that the increasing presence of wild animals in urban neighborhoods is due to the availability of food sources and urge the public to remain vigilant and avoid approaching wild animals until the situation is resolved.
