Reservist's Wife Shares Emotional Plea After Husband's Military Call-Up Extended

Betal, wife of reservist Aviram, opened up in a viral social media post about the emotional toll of her husband's extended military service. Aviram, who has already served over 400 days in reserve duty during the ongoing conflict, informed Betal that his current call-up would be prolonged by another week. This news deeply distressed Betal, who recorded several WhatsApp voice messages expressing the challenges of managing the household and raising their children in his absence.

In an interview with Channel 12, Betal described how counting down the days until Aviram's return became unbearable when the extension was announced. She said, "It was the last straw. I was broken." Following the widespread attention her video received, Betal shared that Aviram was granted a night pass to return home on Thursday evening, providing some relief to the family.

Betal concluded with a poignant remark on the situation, stating, "Apparently, all it takes to get a man home in this country is to cry out loudly in public." The couple now faces further preparations as Aviram is expected to return to duty on Sunday for additional deployments and logistical arrangements.
