Bereaved Father Eyed for Politics Says He Will Decide Soon
The founding convention of the "Victory Machine" movement is set for Sunday night at the Expo complex in Tel Aviv, with public figures, activists, and bereaved families attending. One of the main speakers is Eyal Eshl, the father of Roni Eshl, the IDF observer killed at Nahal Oz during the October 7 terror attack.
In a pre-event interview with Eil Berkovitz and Erel Segal on Radio 103fm, Eshl explained why he is taking part in the gathering and made a striking public statement about his future. He said he is seriously considering entering politics ahead of the next election.
When asked directly whether he is interested in joining a Knesset list in the coming elections, Eshl replied, "Of course. I think that as of today, given that this government is still in place, it is too early to talk, but I very much hope that when a concrete offer comes, we will sit down carefully, with a lot of thought and with the people who surround me and stand by me, and make the right decision."
